Then the cool part. As I exited the tall grass, my coyote buddy was coming out of another patch just feet away, maybe 40 feet. We were both a bit startled. He took off and I raised the camera and just pushed the button. Unfortunately the variable lens was set at wide angle, but at least I got a couple of shots.
